Buleo Miel is a family business, founded in 2001 and specialising in the packaging and/or sale of honey and other bee products.
The business stemmed from a family of beekeepers dating back four generations, when, at the end of the 19th century, the father, grandfather and great-grandfather of the current owner of the company, decided to start beekeeping. With the development of modern beekeeping (at the beginning of the 20th century), the following generation continued with this activity.
The growth of the company meant new raw materials needed to be obtained via selected suppliers in different regions of Spain, in order to obtain other honeys such as orange blossom honey (Valencia), Chestnut Honey (Galicia), Lemon Honey (Murcia), etc., which is why today we can offer such a wide range of monofloral honeys, together with other bee products, such as royal jelly, pollen, etc.
A small packaging facility was built with the aim of selling the family’s own production from their beehives using the “Las Obreras” brand, with the main clientele being small, traditional stores and specialist food stores.
The quality of our product par excellence, natural honey, began to be recognised by the market in which we now operate and, since 2001, the company has received recognition each year in the Gran Selección Awards granted by the regional department for Agriculture and the Environment of Castilla La Mancha.
Each year, we attend national and international Beekeeping fairs, one of the most important of them is the “International Beekeeping Fair in Pastrana”, in which Manuel Buleo entered the professional tasting contest and received various awards:

The mission at Buleo Miel is:
• To offer a wide range of top-quality natural products that favour and enhance the health and well-being of consumers.
•To preserve the beekeeping tradition.
• To have a positive impact on biodiversity.
•To build lasting relationships with customers and suppliers.
• To deliver products of greater variety and superior quality.
In 2013, a new brand was incorporated, aimed at a gourmet market, “Mellarius”, which represented the company’s consolidation in a market that demands the highest quality products and traditional design.
The current situation, in terms of activities carried out, production processes, products offered and market position, has resulted in Buleo Miel S.L. Management deciding to begin a corporate process based on a diversification strategy, targeting new national and international markets with existing and new products, with one of our main international markets being Europe and Asia.
These requirements stem from the actual characteristics of the markets we are targeting. The products offered by the company are highly sought-after and widely purchased by consumers.
Our aim now is to successfully meet expected future demand, which is much more exacting in terms of product quality, deadlines and production volume flexibility.
